The Widows of 9-11: Hour Two
For anyone who's counting, it has been 29 months and 6 days since September 11th. The 10,000 children who lost a parent on that day have done a lot of growing up. A girl starting school on that September morning is now in the home stretch of Grade Two.
Some mothers and fathers have remarried, and in the minds
of many, the nation is moving on from that fateful day. But
what do we really know about what led to 9-11?
Many of the intelligence files remained sealed. Many leaders
have yet to speak frankly about what they knew about the threats
facing this country. One group of women, widows of 9-11, have
made it their business to ensure that questions about that
day get answered. Their relentless determination has won them
both fear and admiration.
In this special two-hour Connection we are broadcasting live
from New York City. It is a chance to meet four women whose
husbands died on 9-11, and who in banding together, changed
their own lives and gave new meaning to what it means to be
a citizen. They call themselves "Just Four Moms from New Jersey."
