It could have been a scene in a war movie: Helicopters hovering overhead, firing missiles at a car traveling outside an embattled town. The target, a suspected terrorist, escapes with minor injuries. But this isn't a war movie. It was earlier today near the West Bank city of Nablus.
The Israeli military reported the missiles were aimed at a "very senior (Palestinian) terrorist with a lot of Israeli blood on his hands." Despite almost daily escalations in the conflict, war has not been declared in the Mideast. In fact, a cease-fire is supposed to be in effect.
A peace plan, the Mitchell report, has been accepted by both sides as the basis for political talks. But the casualties continue to mount. Today we're asking how different would a war look.
